Ballylanders House

Limerick, Ireland

Extension and renovation of a family home featuring natural stone cladding and render.  Light grey aluminium framed glazing compliments the stone cladding and maximises the views to the countryside beyond.

An extension was added to the front of a traditional farmhouse cottage to create a spacious open plan living space.  The flat roof cantilevers to provide a more cosy terrace area for outdoor seating or dining.

A large feature dormer window adds space to a Master bedroom and makes the best of the views.

"Stephen's creativity and ingenuity was apparent from the beginning as he helped us to transform our 100 year old bungalow with a 90's add on into a work of art. He was a great listener and probed us in a really positive manner. After listening to our brief he knew what we needed to get out of our space and delivered. He came back with drawings and a hand sketch and got it right first time. We didn't get as far as a second draft! The 3D Sketchup was an invaluable tool and we looked at this 100's of times before works commenced. The space that he created is ideal for our young family."
